      4. What happens if I need more time to complete a course?

If you need more than the 6 months you’ve been granted to complete a course, you may renew your subscription for another 6 months and continue the course from where you left off.

      5. Is this cost per lesson, per session, or for the entire course?

The course fee you pay is for a 6 month subscription.

      6. What is your refund policy? 
As convenient, efficient, and effective as online learning has proven over and over, time and again. Because online learning is fun and challenging, the Paid Membership Plans are non-refundable.
      7. Is there an instructor available to answer questions?

Yes. Our courses are both self-paced and instructor-led. An instructor is available to answer questions as well as monitor and assess your performance in the course.

          9. When does a course start and end?

The course starts for you when you pay the course fee. You can enroll anytime–day or night. Courses are self-paced and everyone works according to their own timetable. The online classroom will be open and accessible once you’re enrolled, 24 hours a day–every day of the week for up to six months. The class ends when you complete all the coursework and the instructor graduates you from the course, or when your subscription expires (after 6 months).

         10. Can I email the instructor my questions?

Yes, as a paying participant you can contact the course instructor at anytime by logging into the Virtual Classroom and using “Class Email” (under the “Communications” tab).

          11. Do I need to buy any textbooks?

Most courses on GTBEC are thoroughly written enough so you will not need to buy any required textbooks–although we will recommend additional reading materials to purchase–these materials are optional and you are not required to buy them to complete the course.

          12. Do I have to pay for an online course?

Yes. All courses have a course fee (except for the free How to Take an Online Course demo course). GTBEC is able to host courses at reduced fees because it is not linked to the tuition costs associated with a university or organization. Our low course fees allow us to provide a worldwide audience with access to educational skills and career building tools.

           13. Are there any additional costs?

Once you pay the course fee, you are granted a 6 month subscription to complete the course. If you need more than 6 months, you may easily submit payment online to renew your subscription and continue from where you left off.

           14. Is the site secure? Is my information safe?

Yes, all financial information is securely encrypted during transmission and securely stored. All transmissions of sensitive information is encrypted using SSL (Secured Sockets Layer).

           15. Do you offer financial aid?

Sorry, we do not offer or accept financial aid.

            16. I just enrolled in a class, now what do I do?

You can access all the courses you are taking and simply login with your Member ID and Password.

             17. What does ‘self-paced’ mean?

‘Self-paced’ means you go at your own pace. When you take a self-paced, online course then you complete the lessons, assignments, exams, and other class activities when you have time and on your own time. You still need to complete the course within 6 months, however, when you decide to complete the course objectives within those six months is entirely up to you.

         18. What does ‘instructor support’ mean?

‘Instructor-support’ means that there is an instructor in the course that will monitor your work, review and assess your submissions, and be available to answer any questions or concerns throughout the course by email.

Yes, you can finish the course at anytime before your subscription expires.
